2D Graphics Designer

Location : Winston‑Salem, NC

Do you have an eye for bold visuals and a passion for design that tells a story? Salem Sports Events is seeking a 2D Graphic Designer to join our creative team and help bring our events and brand experiences to life.

What You’ll Do

Transform concepts into impactful designs that define the visual identity of our tournaments, clients, and brand.

Collaborate closely with Design Manager, Client Relationship Managers, and Production teams to deliver creative solutions that meet specifications and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Design engaging layouts and graphics using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

Ensure brand consistency across all visual materials for clients and internal projects.

Collaborate with teams to gather information, review concepts, and refine designs.

Prepare final artwork for production while maintaining accuracy and file organization.

Manage multiple projects while meeting calendar deadlines.

Stay on top of design trends and software advancements to continually elevate your work.

What We’re Looking For

A creative mind with strong visual communication and presentation skills.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

Strong understanding of production techniques and design‑to‑print workflows.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Prior professional experience in graphic design (college degree preferred).

Valid driver’s license (occasional travel to event locations required).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Meet with supervisors / Client Relationship Managers to determine project scope.

Prepare work by gathering information and materials from Design Manager.

Create designs / layouts that maintain tournament and company brand identity.

Maintain client‑specific colors, images, text styles, and layout for final output.

Communicate project status with relevant personnel.

Keep apprised of calendar due dates and adhere to deadlines.

Present designs to supervisors / Client Relationship Managers.

Review designs for errors prior to submittal and production.

Incorporate approved changes into final design.

Maintain file location and update change logs.

Comply with valid driver's license requirement.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain and expand working knowledge of relevant software.

Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Meet all assigned goals and assist others in accomplishing their goals.

Knowledge and Skills

Artistic and creative with strong presentation, verbal, visual, and written communication skills.

Strong understanding of production techniques and awareness of timelines.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Knowledge and application of graphics functions and equipment.

Team collaboration skills.

Education and Work Experience

College degree preferred.

Prior work experience required.

Reporting : No direct reports.

Physical Demands and Work Environment : Requires sitting and walking in an office environment, prolonged computer use, occasional outside work in inclement weather. Must be at least 18 years old.

Expected Hours : Full‑time, regular business hours with occasional long hours and weekend work; travel to event locations for printing and installation.
