You are detail-oriented and committed to collaborating effectively with the Optometrist. A willingness to learn about the optical industry, its products, and services is a must. A collaborative team player dedicated to delivering the best patient experience. Prior experience in healthcare, medical, or optical is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. About the Role
Ready to embark on an exciting new career path? As an Optometric Technician with MyEyeDr., you will be vital in supporting our Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for their appointments, including conducting preliminary testing and measurements. No optical experience? No worries! We provide comprehensive training and the tools you need to thrive in an industry dedicated to delivering top-notch care and helping our patients see and live their best lives. Join our dynamic team and contribute to providing exceptional vision care. This role will report to the Office General Manager but directly support our Doctor(s). Some weekend and evening shifts are part of the schedule.
You Will
- Engage with patients, accurately document their conditions and concerns, and prepare their medical histories for the Optometrist's exam.
- Ensure a seamless flow of patients to the Doctor and collaborate with additional office staff throughout appointments.
- Provide patients with comfort and information about the office procedures they will experience during their visit.
- Receive training to proficiently operate pretest equipment and perform various vision screenings before patients meet with the doctor.
- Guide patients through contact lens training and assist with other preliminary testing as needed.
- Work closely with doctors and team members to create a cohesive and pleasant patient experience.
