Join our team :
Fort Specialty Contractors is looking for our nextCommercial / Hospitality Superintendent.This Super will coordinate all site construction activities and supervise all field personnel necessary to successfully deliver completed projects on time and within budget.
This position is based in Las Vegas, NV.
What Youll Be Doing :
- Guide the project to its successful completion in compliance with the projects plans, specifications, and construction schedule.
- Planning and implementation of the initial project set-up, site logistics and storage, and field coordination plans.
- Perform pre-construction and course of construction risk analysis to identify and bring to light issues that require timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
- Schedule subcontractors, consultants and vendors into critical path schedule.
- Ensure subcontractors are building in compliance with their contractual obligations including scope of work, quality of work, adequate use of labor and materials, and within agreed upon timelines.
- Identify subcontractor scope-of-work gaps and work with the project manager to remedy identified issues / items.
- Identify construction document and project site conflicts and communicate them with the Project Manager in a timely manner.
- Revise the construction schedule as necessary to reflect ongoing project progress, monitor and distribute weekly.
- Perform quality control inspections. Document and monitor as necessary.
- Prepare and monitor construction schedule, daily reports, safety inspections, and direct independent testing.
- Coordinate building inspections, subcontractor inspections, and direct independent testing as required.
- Prepare and monitor punch list activities.
- Preside over weekly subcontractor coordination and progress meetings.
- Ensure all trades consistently prepare as-built drawings throughout the course of construction.
- Always maintain required OSHA standards on the project jobsite.
- Be the first person on-site to ensure access, and the last to leave each day to adequately secure the project including stored materials and rented and owned equipment.
- Other job duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table :
Experience working on the Vegas Strip and / or with hospitality groups is mandatory.
