At our Hercules, CA R&D centers, you will be working with a small, nimble, dynamic, and fun team of brilliant scientists and engineers to bring clinical diagnostics products to market. You would be putting together prototypes, you would be running characterization studies and experiments on a prototype instrument, you would be investigating issues, you would be designing improvements based on your findings and you would be putting together design packages and documentation – All under the guidance of experienced engineers and scientist

How You’ll Make An Impact:

• Assist senior engineer in the evaluation of microfluidic instruments and assemblies.
• Perform root-cause investigations on systems and components to correct problems.
• Develop automated issue tracking tool to help free up senior developers times.
• Create tools to increase quality and reliability of the microfluidic instrument

What You Bring:

• Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at an accredited university in Chemistry , Biochemistry or Biomedical Engineering. Eligible candidates must be rising juniors, seniors, or graduate students who intend to return to their academic program the following academic year.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of Python, C, C++, C#, Java, or Arduino a plus.
• Knowledge of Operating Systems such as Windows 10 or above and QNX is a plus.
• Strong problem solving, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Location: This position must be based in Hercules, California and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

Compensation: The hourly range for this position is $25 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
