About the Opportunity

A large enterprise organization is seeking a Unified Communications Engineer to support and modernize its enterprise voice and collaboration infrastructure.

This role is responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise telephony platforms across both on-premises and cloud environments. The successful candidate will partner closely with networking, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable voice communication services.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex voice environments while contributing to modernization initiatives involving cloud collaboration technologies.

What You'll Tackle:
  • Administer and support enterprise unified communications and voice infrastructure.
  • Provision voice services, including user adds, moves, changes, and deletions.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco Unified Communications platforms.
  • Support enterprise VoIP and SIP-based telecommunications services.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and overall platform health.
  • Troubleshoot voice quality, call routing, and connectivity issues.
  • Coordinate with telecommunications carriers to resolve service-related issues.
  • Partner with networking, security, and infrastructure teams on enterprise communication initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Implement secure and reliable voice communication solutions.
  • Support enterprise contact center technologies and collaboration platforms.
  • Participate in voice infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects.
  • Serve as a technical resource for enterprise telecommunications initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience administering Cisco Unified Communications environments.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise VoIP technologies.
  • Experience with SIP (Session Initiation Protocol).
  • Experience supporting enterprise PBX or unified communications platforms.
  • Knowledge of enterprise telephony provisioning and administration.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VLANs.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across voice and telecommunications environments.
  • Experience documenting technical processes and infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Approximately two or more years of relevant experience supporting enterprise voice environments.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Cisco CCNP Collaboration or Voice certification.
  • Experience supporting Cisco Contact Center platforms.
  • Microsoft Teams Voice administration.
  • Experience working with telecommunications carriers.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based telephony environments.
  • Knowledge of enterprise collaboration platforms and unified communications modernization.
