Embedded Software Engineer
Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and test embedded software for steering and braking systems, electronic controls, displays, and telematics devices. The role requires strong expertise in low-level embedded development, control systems integration, and technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement embedded software solutions from requirements to production.
Develop programs in ANSI C90/C99 for real-time embedded systems.
Research, design, and test low-layer software (RTOS, I/O drivers, boot loaders, memory interfacing, board initialization, communication networks such as J1939/CAN/Ethernet).
Automate build processes using Python and shell scripting.
Conduct technical/code reviews and lead cross-functional teams.
Analyze defects, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
Enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
Collaborate on requirements analysis, software validation, and system testing strategies.
3+ years in steering/braking systems software development.
2+ years in low-layer embedded software (RTOS, drivers, boot loaders, comms).
Strong experience with C (ANSI C90/C99), Python, shell scripting.
Familiarity with version control tools (Git) and merging/branch management.
Proven experience in control systems integration.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Self-starter with leadership experience in cross-functional environments.
