Our large manufacturing client located in Peoria, Illinois, is looking for a CNC Programmer, to add to their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Create new CNC programs, or modify / update existing CNC programs as required for manufacturing
  • Provide programming support during part prove-outs. Update program as needed
  • Create new or update existing manufacturing process documentation of programmed parts
  • Assist with program issues or updates needed on a promptly manner to ensure manufacturing of parts to specification
  • Provide programming shop support
  • Participate of engineering team meetings, and collaborate as needed
  • Provide status updates and documentation as needed
  • Work with cross-functional teams, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers & operations leaders on assigned projects or activities

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar field is preferred, but not required
  • At least two years of experience as a CNC programmer is required
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes such as turning, milling, drilling and tapping is required
  • Must be able to read / write programs in G code
  • Experience programming in CAM software (i.e. NX, Creo / Pro-E, EdgeCam, etc.) is desired, but not required
  • Experience with 3D modeling in CAD software (i.e. NX, Creo / Pro-E, Solidworks, etc.) is desired, but not required
  • Understanding of fixture design is desired
  • Experience selecting cutting tools is desired
  • Must have good blueprint reading skills and experience with GD&T
  • Must enjoy working in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general computer software
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
