Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join the Heat Treat Processes Team. This role requires an experienced software programmer with a strong background in manufacturing support, particularly in the development and enhancement of database-driven applications and controls systems. The ideal candidate will contribute to day-to-day operational support, application enhancements, and long-term AI-driven initiatives aimed at improving predictive maintenance capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operational Support (30%):
    • Perform day-to-day PC and server-based updates.
    • Provide technical support for manufacturing systems and equipment.
  2. Application Enhancements (30-40%):
    • Develop and enhance applications using C#, C++, and .NET.
    • Update and optimize backend databases (SQL, relational database systems).
    • Support new equipment integration on the production floor.
  3. Long-Term Initiatives (30%):
    • Collaborate on AI modeling projects to develop predictive maintenance capabilities.
    • Leverage SCADA systems for data analysis and process improvements.

Qualifications:

Must-Haves:
  • 5+ years of experience in software programming for manufacturing support (internships included).
  • Proficiency in C++, C#, and .NET programming.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database design and implementation.
  • Experience in database-driven applications development.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with AI modeling and machine learning for predictive analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with SCADA systems.
  • Background in manufacturing or industrial process control environments.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and enhance applications in manufacturing settings.
  • Experience integrating software with industrial hardware.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvements.
Interview Process:
  • 1-2 rounds of interviews (no coding assessment).
  • Discussion focused on relevant projects and experience.
