Automotive Electrician needed in Tuscaloosa!!

An Automotive Electrician installs, diagnoses, and repairs vehicle wiring, lighting, ignition, and computerized systems, including for EVs, hybrids, and accessories. They use specialized diagnostic tools to fix faults in components like alternators, sensors, and safety systems, often working in dealerships, repair shops, or specialized service centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Using computerized equipment to pinpoint malfunctions in electrical circuits, wiring, and onboard computer systems.
  • Fixing or replacing faulty electrical parts, including starters, alternators, batteries, headlights, and wiring harnesses.
  • Installing new electrical components, such as sound systems, GPS trackers, alarms, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
  • Performing routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent failures.
  • Providing detailed reports on issues found and repairs performed for customer communication.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, circuitry, and computer systems.
  • Ability to analyze complex electrical issues and determine the root cause.
  • Proficient with diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and circuit testers.
  • Precision in wiring, soldering, and component installation.
  • Typically requires a high school diploma/GED and specialized training or certification in automotive electrical systems.
