Job Description

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN JOB FUNCTION :

Responsible for repairs and troubleshooting of production equipment and building systems to maintain facility in peak operating condition. Major systems include, but not limited to; Mechanical Devices, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, HVAC, Fire protection, Electrical Distribution, Electrical Controls, and more.

Inspection of equipment and assembly processes to prevent damage and / or determine root cause of malfunction or damage

Reading blueprints, schematics, logic diagrams, maintenance manuals and catalogs to install, troubleshoot and repair equipment.

Troubleshoot, de-bug and program PLC5, SLC500, Micrologic Controllers, Siemans PLCs and Variable Speed Drives.

Performs preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.

Performs related tasks as needed.

REQUIREMENTS :

Effective oral and written communication skills

Effectively work interact with supervisors, production / logistics personnel, and maintenance team members

Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and Word

Math skills to include but not limited to algebra, geometry, and trigonometry

Problem solving skills to include 5-Why and Fishbone diagrams

Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing

Effective knowledge of Predictive and Preventive maintenance principles

Fundamentals of AC / DC electricity, motors and motor controls, transformers, automatic controls, hydraulics & pneumatics, machine tool technology, and welding.

Minimum of three years combination of education, training, and a minimum of (1) year maintenance experience

Experience in a JIT manufacturing environment
