Job description

Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join a growing law firm in Downtown Minneapolis. This is a direct hire opportunity with an onsite work model for the first 6 months, then the individual can work 2 days remote.

The Legal Assistant's responsibilities include :

  • Coordinating, scheduling, and calendaring depositions and hearings.
  • Performing investigative research and administrative tasks.
  • Drafting, editing, and proofing various legal documents and correspondence.
  • Electronic filing in state and federal courts.
  • Communicating with attorneys, paralegals, and clients.
  • Calendaring and docketing.
  • Trial preparation, including but not limited to, assembling binders and coordinating witnesses.
  • Assisting with organizing and maintaining electronic case files.
  • Data entry as needed.
  • Any additional duties and tasks as needed under the direction of paralegals and attorneys.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a legal assistant
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Experience e-filing in state and federal courts.
  • Experience working with document management software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
