Job Overview

Trophy Nissan is seeking an experienced Automotive Title Clerk to join our dealership team.
The ideal candidate will have prior dealership experience handling vehicle titles, registrations, and state compliance.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring all vehicle sales are processed accurately and efficiently.

We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and familiar with dealership paperwork and DMV processes.

Responsibilities

• Process vehicle titles and registrations for new and used vehicles

• Submit title work to the DMV in a timely manner

• Verify accuracy of title documents and ensure compliance with state regulations

• Process payoffs for trade-in vehicles

• Prepare and submit title applications and lien documentation

• Maintain organized records of titles and deal jackets

• Communicate with banks, customers, and DMV offices regarding title status

• Ensure all paperwork is completed according to dealership and state guidelines

• Assist accounting and sales departments with deal processing when needed

Qualifications

• Previous dealership title clerk experience required

• Knowledge of DMV title and registration processes

• Familiarity with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, etc.)

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple deals and deadlines

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
