Job descriptionGood interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written skills Good mechanical, electrical, and judgment skills Good organizational and cleanliness skills to ensure a safe and organized work area. Be able to use hand tools, portable power tools, and other equipment as needed. 2 years previous equipment maintenance and repair experience required. Vocational school and / or training in diesel, hydraulics, and propane engines desired. Previous experience in the use of hand and small power tools / equipment. Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel, for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Will be exposed to moderate noise and dust levels. Will work in outdoor areas and be exposed to weather conditions—heat, cold, rain, and wind.

Burrtec is a family-owned company that firmly believes the key element to our success is knowing how important each employee is in the organization. We have the following position at our West Valley Material Recovery Facility (MRF) location :
Equipment Maintenance Helper
Position Summary :
Will perform inspections, cleaning, maintenance, and repairs of Transfer equipment.
SALARY RANGE : $24.50 / hour - $26.25 / hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
- Will follow safe work practices and adhere to all safety rules and practices.
- Will assist and support Equipment Maintenance team and activities.
- Will perform inspections, cleaning, maintenance and repairs of TS and MRF rolling stock equipment not limited to loaders, dozers, forklifts, skidsteers, excavators, etc.
- Will use hand tools and other equipment for the performance of these activities
- Will use welder, torch, and grinder in the performance of their job
- Will work in support of EM team and independently on smaller jobs / tasks
- Will timely and accurately document work performed on Fleetmate work orders
- Will perform other repairs and duties as assigned by management.
