We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our clinical team and oversee the medical operations within our facilities.

Job Summary :

The Medical Director will be responsible for overseeing the medical care and clinical services provided to residents. This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals, managing clinical protocols, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The Medical Director will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of care, improving patient outcomes, and fostering a positive work environment for our clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Clinical Leadership : Provide medical leadership and direction to the healthcare team, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Patient Care : Oversee and participate in the direct care of residents, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions.
  • Quality Assurance : Develop and implement clinical protocols and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and improve patient outcomes.
  • Staff Development : Mentor and train clinical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with administrative staff, nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and enhance patient care services.
  • Compliance : Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Community Engagement : Represent KOPA in the community and build relationships with external healthcare providers and organizations.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure : Valid medical license to practice in the state of [Location].
  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Experience in long-term care or geriatric medicine is preferred.
  • Skills : Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Certifications : Board certification in a relevant medical specialty. Advanced certifications in healthcare management or administration are a plus.
