Chief Engineer - Museum - Base Salary to 100k / year - Dallas, TX

Our client is a large commercial museum in Dallas area. The owners of this organization are a major piece of the Texas economy. They currently are in the market for a Chief Engineer that will join the executive team and help maintain the existing building and work as they continue to expand and add services. This position is a first shift direct hire position into the company working on site daily.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide general supervision and strategic planning for the facility.
  • Instrumental with repairs and maintenance projects with or without vendors and contractors
  • Create and maintain superior client and customer service practices.
  • Develop and manage annual operating and capital expense budgets.
  • Manage a staff of diverse skilled tradesmen and professionals – include managing qualified vendor / contractors.
  • Coordinate the operational aspects of the property in a manner, which protects, maintains and improves the value of the Museum’s assets.
  • Ensure all site management and operations practices are in compliance with high industry standards, as well as City, State and Federal safety and environmental laws, codes, standards and regulations.
  • Perform reporting, forecasting, and asset management on all sites.
  • Implement preventive, ongoing, and anticipated maintenance / repair programs.
  • Develop multi-year capital improvement project plans and manage the process to complete the capital projects.
  • Manage third-party vendor contracted services as required, including periodic bidding and insurance updates.
  • Monitor performance per scopes of work and contractual agreements.
  • Establishes, coordinates, and implements DAA / TAS compliance.

Qualifications :

  • 10+ years of building and facility maintenance preferred
  • Professional license or certification of RPA and SMA is desired but not required.
  • HVAC experience a large plus
  • Compensation :

    Base salary to 100k / year
