We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales Planning to Cvent’s Global Sales and Revenue Operations Team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sales planning strategies, including quota setting, territory alignment, commission plans, and forecasting methodologies. As well as collaborating with sales leadership to define sales targets and goals, analyze historical sales data and market trends to drive accurate forecasting, and provide actionable insights for sales optimization. In This Role, You Will : Develop and implement comprehensive sales planning strategies, including quota setting, territory alignment, commission plans, and forecasting methodologies. Collaborate with sales leadership to define sales targets and goals, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives. Analyze historical sales data and market trends to drive accurate forecasting and provide actionable insights for sales optimization. Design and implement scalable sales planning processes and systems to support the growth and efficiency of the sales organization. Lead and manage a team of sales planning professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure their success. Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and marketing teams to align sales planning efforts with overall business strategies. Resolve conflicts and challenges related to sales planning, addressing issues promptly and effectively to maintain sales velocity. Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to sales planning and forecasting. Here's What You Need : Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field; MBA preferred. Proven experience (10 years) in sales planning, quota management, territory alignment, and commission planning, preferably in the software industry. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Exceptional leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate a team to achieve targets and exceed expectations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives. Ability to handle conflict and challenging situations with diplomacy and professionalism. Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Hands-on approach and willingness to roll up sleeves and work alongside the team when necessary. Proven experience in creating scalable processes and systems to support business growth. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
