SPA’s Joint Defense Support Group has a diverse portfolio encompassing the US Air Force, US Marine Corps, US Army, the US Surface Navy, and the Navy Manpower, Personnel, Training, and Education Enterprise. Technical analysts and engineers provide tailored program management for life-cycle systems engineering and logistics support, rapid capabilities development and fielding, cyber warfare operations, nuclear command, control and communications, and design, production, and maintenance support. Military Operations analysts provide operational and decision support to advanced studies, wargame development, requirements development, materiel operations, supply strategies, program integration, and fleet readiness.
SPA has a near-term need for an experienced nuclear enterprise expert to support stockpile management for our customer in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities
The Nuclear Stockpile Expert will provide guidance and recommendations to the Government team on all nuclear stockpile issues and requirements that affect Air Force strategic deterrence efforts and policy. This includes coordination with DoD and other agencies involving the nuclear enterprise, stockpile, weapon systems, and the sustainment thereof. The NSE will conduct technical research and attend various stakeholder engagements in order to inform and support Government senior leader decisions via point papers, decision briefs, and various forums.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree and 10 years’ experience in DoD nuclear enterprise management organizations
- Recent advanced experience with nuclear stockpile stewardship activities and requirements at all levels of USG
- Recent work involving coordination of nuclear enterprise issues across DoD and other agencies
- Secret clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree and 15 years’ experience in DoD nuclear enterprise management organizations
- Recent experience working in complex environments while managing disparate goals and reporting priorities
- Top Secret clearance
