We invite CERTIFIED NURSE MIDWIVES with an interest in academics to discover all that we can do when we bring healing hearts, inquisitive minds and visionaries together in our Women's Service Line at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center .
Current or recent academic experience is strongly preferred as our division provides much of the educational experience for our residents and medical students.
Our team is comprised of 7 academic generalists, 3 academic hospitalists, 3 triage APPs, and 2 CNMs who educate, supervise, and provide direct OB and Gyn patient care alongside residents within our own department as well as Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine residents.
Position Details :
- Inpatient Obstetrics : Delivering patients from the midwife practice as well as supervising residents and medical students on busy Labor and Delivery and Postpartum. We have over 3000 deliveries per year within this department and manage both high-risk and low-risk patients. We are a large academic center, looking for CNMs that are preferably familiar with academic environment which includes both low and high-risk patients.
- CNM rotation of 7-8 24 hour Labor & Delivery shifts per month
