Skills Required
5-7 years of experience in analysis, architecture, design, installation, configuration, administration, operation, monitoring, following standards and maintenance of databases.
Experience with Oracle 19c is preferred.
Strong experience in public cloud platforms (AWS) for database related tasks
The individual filling this position is expected to provide production support ownership, tracking, and resolving database related tasks.
Design and implement automation solutions for routine tasks, system reporting, alerts, and notifications using custom scripts
Ability to work in a team and individually in a complex project environment
Skill and knowledge and experience in the following database design, development, and administration-related concepts, methods, and tools :
o Performance Tuning
o Shell scripting
o Installation, Patching, upgrade of Oracle databases
o Oracle database administration, backup, recovery and troubleshooting in Cloud environments.
o Install, configure, test, monitor, upgrade, and tune new and existing Oracle databases.
o Reviews database design and integration of systems, and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and / or improvements.
o Provides appropriate consulting, interfacing, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization.
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for the logical and physical integrity of the application database environment
Monitors and tunes database performance during testing and production operations, restructures and index rebuilds; documents benchmarks and procedures needed to optimize performance; ensure that all performance guidelines are followed
Installs, patches, upgrades, maintains, and supports the database in all environments
Maintains detailed knowledge of all database administration processes, procedures, and quality standards
