Job descriptionMust have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time Physical agility to lift 50 pounds minimum, to shoulder height Must be able to bend, to stoop, to sit on the floor, to climb stairs, to walk and to reach overhead Hear and understand speech at normal classroom levels, outdoors and on the telephone Speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms, outdoors and on the telephone Exposure to climate-controlled classroom settings to outside weather with temperatures ranging from mild / moderate to extreme cold / heat. May involve exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to very loud on occasional to frequent time periods. May involve working in crowded environments. Campus support Active Daily Living support Flexibility within classrooms Punctuality and attendance Communication(s) Interpersonal Skills AP4ELC Safety Fundamentals Training Co-teaching lessons under the Teacher’s guidance, leading small groups or individual instruction and discussions, and reviewing classwork Organizing the classroom and teaching materials, monitoring the classroom during lessons, and minimizing distractions and disruptions Supervising students in and out of the classroom Attending to the student's physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs Provide basic caregiving duties, support, and encouragement in all aspects of development Helping Teachers and students with extracurricular activities and school functions Collect data for progress monitoring Participate in professional development trainings as frequently as once a week Ensuring the upkeep of educational materials, equipment, and supplies Daily meetings with classroom teachers - AM and PM Participate in behavior Training Participate in student support meetings Assist with toileting students Assist with student hygiene Assist students in getting in / out of vans Assist students at lunch Tasks as assigned by teacher / school admin Ensure classroom safety standards are met at all times Full Time-Day Shift Monday - Friday
500 COMMITMENT BONUS, 50% at 3 months and 50% at 6 months
Requirements :
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- 18 years or older
- IVP Fingerprint clearance card
- Pass background checks.
- GED or high school diploma
- Valid Driver's License
- Pass 3-year MVR.
- Preferred experience with individuals with autism or other disabilities, behaviors
- Reliable transportation
