Job description6 months to 1 year of experience in a Family Medicine office setting Hands-on knowledge of medical referrals is required Experience with IEHP (Inland Empire Health Plan) is a plus Basic computer and phone skills Understanding of medical terminology Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Submit medical referrals for specialty visits, DME (Durable Medical Equipment), and imaging services. Communicate effectively with providers, patients, insurance companies, and co-workers. Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient messages regarding referrals. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of referral activities. Coordinate with insurance providers for referral approvals and ensure compliance with guidelines. Handle multiple tasks and prioritize daily duties efficiently. Utilize basic computer systems and electronic health records (EHR) for tracking and updates.
