Job description

Civil Design Engineer – Land Development

Are you ready to grow your career while making a lasting impact on the built environment? Join a collaborative team where you'll work alongside experienced engineers and project managers to deliver innovative land development projects throughout the Nashville area. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys problem-solving, values mentorship, and wants to expand their technical and professional skills.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Civil Design Engineer with experience in land development to support a variety of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. In this role, you'll contribute to projects from the early planning stages through final design, working closely with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal team members to develop practical and efficient engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare site development plans, including grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater management designs.
  • Assist with feasibility studies, due diligence research, and technical reports.
  • Develop engineering calculations and construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, and permitting agencies to keep projects moving forward.
  • Support local and state permitting efforts and regulatory approvals.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute creative solutions to engineering challenges.
  • Maintain quality, accuracy, and attention to detail throughout the design process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in civil site design or land development.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience with residential, commercial, or industrial development projects.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

What You'll Find Here

We believe professional growth happens through hands-on experience, collaboration, and continuous learning. You'll have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects while receiving mentorship from experienced professionals who are invested in your success. As your skills grow, you'll have opportunities to take on additional responsibility and advance your career.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Paid vacation and company holidays
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Annual salary reviews
  • Paid parental leave
  • Life insurance
  • Employee wellness programs
  • Professional development and training opportunities
  • Team-building events and a collaborative work environment
