Your Impact

As a Senior Technical Analyst - Revenue & Financial Reporting, you will be a critical contributor to Axon's revenue recognition and financial reporting operations. This is a unique opportunity to have an impact to both the revenue landscape and external financial reporting.

This role demands technical expertise in ASC 606 and SEC reporting, and a passion for building scalable, compliant, and insightful policy, process, and reporting. You will partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Financial Reporting, Sales, Legal, Product, and more to develop technical accounting assessments, support our external financial reporting initiatives, and design accounting solutions for complex revenue streams including SaaS, hardware, bundles, and newly introduced products.

What You'll Do

Location : Hybrid - Based near one of Axon's U.S. hubs (Scottsdale, Seattle, Boston, San Francisco, Atlanta, Sterling, or Denver)

• Assist in researching and resolving complex technical accounting issues in compliance with US GAAP and adoption of new accounting standards and pronouncements.
• Support the end-to-end technical accounting review of complex customer arrangements and newly introduced products under ASC 606
• Prepare and maintain detailed revenue recognition memos and whitepapers for internal and external audit support
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to assess new and non-standard arrangements and identify accounting implications prior to execution
• Collaborate with FP&A to align revenue reporting with internal forecasts and external guidance
• Monitor Axon's revenue disclosures and related SEC filings to assist in ensuring disclosures are accurate and complete.
• Monitor evolving accounting guidance and proactively assess impact to the company's policies and procedures.
• Train and mentor team members on technical revenue topics and help shape scalable processes as the company grows globally.
• Contribute to the preparation and review of SEC filings - most notably revenue-related footnotes, MD&A disclosures, and additional technical disclosure areas applicable for Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
• Help improve and document accounting procedures, internal policies, and control frameworks.
• Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
