Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the healthcare location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns. Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel. Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and / or escorting individuals as needed within the healthcare environment. Communicate clearly and professionally with all individuals encountered while on duty, maintaining a helpful and approachable demeanor. Complete required documentation and reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as directed by Allied Universal and site management. Proof of vaccination is required for hospital assignments. An armed guard card or license is required. Proof of high school diploma or GED is required. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
