Currently hiring for a Shipping and Receiving Associate with manufacturing background to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal Shipping and Receiving Associate candidate has 2+ years’ experience as a Shipping and Receiving Associate and preferably has manufacturing experience (i.e. - machine operation, welding, fabrication). Pay is $18 - $22 per hour based on skill set and level of experience. UPS WorldShip software experience a must.
Shipping and Receiving Associate Responsibilities
- Prepare, package, and label shipments, ensuring safe transit and minimal damage.
- Manage incoming and outgoing inventory, maintaining accurate records.
- Utilize UPS WorldShip to generate shipping labels, track shipments, and manage documentation.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of materials, including forklift operation (training and certification provided if necessary).
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with cycle counts aligned with production schedules.
- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to resolve shipping and inventory issues.
- Communicate with vendors and carriers to coordinate shipments and optimize freight rates.
