Job Summary :
Under the lead work direction of the RAFFMA's Marketing, Membership, and Engagement Coordinator and the Intern Co-Director, RAFFMA's social media student assistant will be responsible for assisting with the creation and implementation of the museum's social media posts. Special emphasis will be placed on current and upcoming projects and exhibitions. This student's duties may include additional graphic design and / or general museum tasks.
The RAFFMA Social Media Student Assistant will have an understanding of posting on social media, social media engagement, and how to create social media posts. This student assistant will have a basic understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud with a strong preference for Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Some knowledge of photography, videography, photo editing, and video editing is expected.
Responsibilities :
Under direct supervision and under the lead work direction of the RAFFMA's Marketing, Membership, and Engagement Coordinator and the Intern Co-Director duties include but not limited to :
- Assist with conceptualizing, creating, posting, and managing RAFFMA's Instagram and Facebook accounts.
- Assist in creating a social media marketing plan
- Working with students, staff, and artists to gain feedback and constructive criticism on content
- Using Adobe Creative Cloud to create attention-grabbing and engaging social media content
- Respond to comments and direct messages directed to the RAFFMA social media account.
- Other graphic design and museum tasks as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits :
Student Employment Anticipated Hiring Range : $16.90 per hour.
The compensation offered will consider internal equity and experience among other factors.
Position Information :
Work status : Part-Time, Temporary, Seasonal
Academic year available hours : Monday through Friday (8 : 00 am – 5 : 00 pm).
Summer available hours : Monday through Thursday (7 : 00 am - 5 : 30 pm).
