Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply chain, Marketing, Business or Management (MBA / Master’s degree preferred) CPM, CPSM, CPIM, APICS, or ISM certification preferred, but not required 10 years minimum sourcing / procurement experience in an industrial, automotive or consumer goods setting, preferably with a background in automotive lubricants, chemicals, and / or hard parts & accessories Strong negotiation / contract management experience Experience working in cross-functional teams; Managerial and leadership experience preferred. Project management experience; leadership preferred. Experience in project management and continuous improvement initiatives Foreign language skills / international experience preferred, but not required Excellent / Concise verbal and written communication skills Strong personality capable of presenting fact-based strategies to drive negotiations Persuade / align others on a company “best interest” point of view Must be entrepreneurial-minded, proactive, and a creative thinker Ability to read product drawings and specifications Advanced experience with MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, & PowerPoint) ERP system experience, Qlik / PowerBi reporting, with aptitude to learn SaaS programs
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of sourcing and procurement professionals to identify and engage with new suppliers & test incumbent supplier relationships, using both strategic and tactical methods, ie. RFP / Qs
- Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities within a TCO framework
- Lead supplier evaluation, qualification, selection, and score carding
- Negotiate terms and conditions under CLM guidelines and best practices
- Present qualitative and quantitative strategies for Procurement team success
- Bring all “owned” vendor relationships on-contract or into compliance with Highline Warren policies
- Provide oversight and guidance to direct reports, driving P&L performance
- Meet and exceed all assigned KPIs, demonstrating measurable results
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to drive process improvement in all areas of responsibility
- Maintain working knowledge of business trends including commodity specific issues, cost drivers, and supply chain best practices
- Travel as required for trade shows, supplier audits, and evaluations (domestic and international), approximately 10%.
- Bring a "Right to Win" attitude to the business
