Job descriptionMaintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and / or holidays Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety. Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift e.g. restocking inventory, general washing and cleaning, store opening and closing Ability to learn quickly, understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed. Supervisory experience is a plus. Potential to be promoted as shift lead with solid performance demonstrated. Ability to work independently and on solo if requried Strong work ethic. Committed to the success of the business Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships 1 year of relevant experience is preferred Ability to lift and / or carry a minimum of 30lbs on an occasional basis

Midori Matcha specializes in Organic Japanese Matcha and soft serve, a place of heritage with a modern twist. As a Midori Matcha Master, you'll create the Midori Experience for our customers through authentic and heartwarming customer service. You’ll be in a calm but energetic store environment in DTLA, Little Tokyo, where you’ll have the ability to create food & beverages and meet new people every day.
This is a tip eligible position with high hourly tip.
You'd make a great Matcha Master if you :
- Have a focus on quality, high level of attention to details, and take pride in your work.
- Consider yourself a “people person,” and enjoy meeting others.
- Understand how to create a great customer service experience with a keen eye to detail.
- Passionate and interested in Matcha and tea in general.
- Can keep cool and calm in a fast-paced, energetic work environment.
- Can maintain an efficient, clean and organized workspace.
- Are comfortable with responsibilities like dealing with challenging customer service situations.
