Job description

The goal of the Technical Trainer is to deliver training services across the Onvio suite of products. The role requires detailed understanding of the functions, operations and management of an accounting business or similar organization. Good interpersonal skills are essential.

Most services are provided remotely but will on occasion require someone who is happy to travel to customer office locations across the US.

About the Role

In this opportunity, you will :

  • Driving the continual improvement of service offerings for the Onvio suite of products. This may include Practice CS further down the line.
  • Deliver training programs on Onvio Firm Management either remotely or face-to-face. Remote tools will include Microsoft Teams or the Kaltura platform used by our Tax and Accounting Professionals Learning Centre.
  • Some knowledge of Onvio Firm Management or other Practice Management solutions to provide expert advice and guidance to clients and staff.
  • Maintain personal knowledge levels of all key changes impacting the accounting industry.
  • Design of course materials and other documents such as eLearning, handouts, manuals and exercises.
  • Evaluation of the effectiveness of the training and course outcomes.
  • Liaise with Product Captains, Product teams and Sales Consultants, feeding back the client experience.
  • Take responsibility for managing outstanding client issues raised during the course of training services.
  • Work with Operations, Sales and Product Management to ensure clients' expectations are fully met.
  • Maintain administrative records on a timely basis in-line with company policy.
  • Provide clear written documentation and follow instructions to clients.
  • Participate in providing feedback to the Professional Services team of improvements to client engagement.

About You

You may be a fit for the role if you have / are :

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Either a moderate level of training experience in a customer-facing environment, preferably on computer software, or significant experience of implementing or using computerized software packages in the accounting industry.
  • Good project management and presentation skills.
  • Experience of training clients and / or colleagues.
  • Good skills using Microsoft Office 365.
  • AI exposure.

    Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $72,100 - $133,900.This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
