Are we the road to your future?
We are currently searching for an experienced Senior Highway Designer to support our Southeast Region located in Miami or Fort Lauderdale, FL .
To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, CAD, drafting or related field preferred.
What you’ll be doing :
- Operate Computer Aided Design (CAD), including creating, updating and drafting signal and roadway improvement plans
- Develop drawings and renderings for use in reports, public meetings, and client-focused materials
- Maintain knowledge of the integration of engineering, planning, street design, and bicycle and pedestrian oriented planning
- Use computer-generated graphics to assist with visualization of ideas
- Draft traffic signal design plans and tabulation sheets in accordance with established company standards
- Draft conceptual and final roadway improvement plans in accordance with established company standards
- Complete field views for gathering data and measurements to use in preparing engineering plans
- Maintain efficient and organized project documents
- Assist in the preparation of engineer estimates, specifications, and project bid manuals
- Prepare exhibits for reports, public meetings or presentations
- Observe and document construction activity in the field
- Perform other related duties, as assigned
