Job Description
We are looking for a Web Engineering Lead to define and drive the technical vision for web front-end development within their product area. This role owns the web layer — architecting scalable, performant, and accessible web experiences using Angular, React, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks — while also maintaining accountability for the overall engineering health of the product. The Web Engineering Lead participates in Agile ceremonies, ensures engineering progress aligns with roadmaps and timelines, and collaborates across all technology layers to deliver cohesive digital products. This position will be a contract and onsite in Miami, FL.
Due to the specific legal and contractual requirements associated with this position, this role will be direct employment with CAI. This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
What You’ll Do
Define and drive the technical vision for web front-end development across the product area
Architect scalable, performant, and accessible web applications and experiences
Establish and enforce best practices for front-end performance, scalability, security, and code quality
Lead technical decision-making and evaluate new web technologies, frameworks, and tools
Create technical design specifications and translate high-level architecture into working software
Implement modern front-end architectures including micro-frontends (MFE), component-driven design, and design systems
Manage build tooling, module bundlers, and developer experience infrastructure
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in rendering, network, and runtime
Mentor and guide web engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical coaching
Collaborate closely with product, design, and delivery teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
Ensure that web front-end integrates cleanly with APIs, backend services, content platforms, and aligns with mobile experiences
Stay current with web platform evolution, JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem, Angular, React, and front-end trends
Evaluate emerging frameworks, tools, and web standards
Drive adoption of modern web technologies and development patterns

Required:
7+ years of hands-on web front-end development experience
2+ years in a lead or technical leadership role
