The Department of Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for one or two non-tenure track, adjunct teaching positions to teach either cell biology or immunology or both during Summer School 2022.

Cell Biology will be taught during Summer Session I (May 20, 2022 to June 23, 2022) and Immunology during Summer Session II (June 24, 2022 to July 28, 2022).

We are seeking candidates with strong evidence of excellence in facilitated learning at the undergraduate level.

It is a residential campus of approximately 12,000 students located in the heart of the nation’s capital, Washington, DC.

The Department of Biology currently consists of seventeen faculty members, conducting pure and applied research with specializations in ecology and environment, animal and plant physiology, and evolution and large data analysis.

It offers BS and PhD degrees with foci in molecular and cellular biology, ecology and evolution, and anatomy and physiology and is a leading unit in the number of majors in the Division of Natural Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Required Qualifications :

Earned Masters or doctorate in a relevant biological field (immunology and cell biology preferred) from an accredited institution;

Effective communication and organizational skills; and Evidence of effective teaching.
