Experienced A&P Mechanic MST - Dulles, VA

JOB SUMMARY

Will identify and correct the more unusual and difficult work on malfunctioning jet and turboprop aircraft mechanical components and systems.

Performs in specific area of specialization, and schedules and coordinates the work of others in the crew. Will serve as main point of contact for Customers utilizing the MST including coordinating and communicating all aircraft issues with the Customer.

Will meet with Customer at location, review work scope with Customer and add squawks as required. Will respond to Customer inquiries and be responsible for assuring Customer satisfaction by coordinating with the Service Center Team.

Will oversee the maintenance of the mobile service vehicle, ensuring vehicle is properly serviced and roadworthy at all times.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Manages the mobile service vehicle, tools, equipment and parts inventory, orders parts and supplies as required. Guides and directs other mechanics to ensure the work scope is completed in a timely manner and work performed is completed in accordance with established policy, procedure, and quality standards.

Performs and directs the completion of maintenance activities on one or more Citation, Hawker, and / or King Air aircraft.

Requires thorough knowledge of aircraft engines, mechanical systems, and components on all assigned aircraft. Maintenance activities include Prioritization and workflow of all aircraft maintenance activities, and Troubleshooting, disassembly, repair, replacement, reassembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems to prepare aircraft mechanically for flight and delivery to customer.

oChecks, corrects or replaces a variety of complex aircraft assemblies, aircraft systems, and optional equipment installations.

oOrders and obtains parts necessary to effect aircraft repairs.Assures that cores are returned in accordance with established procedure.

oRequires knowledge of inspection procedures set forth in FAR Part . Responsible for insuring documentation procedures are accomplished as required in FAR Part 43 and all other applicable FARs.

oResponsible for clear, concise, and accurate written reports in logs, inspection reports, and in parts identification for issue and return documents.

oEnsure that all maintenance, preventive maintenance, alterations, or specialized services performed are in accordance with the Inspection System Procedures as Outlined in the Quality Control Manual.

• As required, debriefs customer on aircraft discrepancies and has frequent contact with customer requiring courtesy, good judgment and tact in resolving customer issues / concerns.
• Is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the mobile service vehicle ensuring that the mobile service vehicle is in safe operating condition, all fluid levels are at proper levels, tire pressures are correct, wiper blades, hoses, tires, etc are all inspected, repaired or replaced as required.
• Is responsible to ensure that all equipment, tooling, and tools with the mobile service vehicle are inspected, properly maintained and serviced as required to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Responsible for guiding, instructing and scheduling the work of three or more technicians and provides job related training or instruction as required.

Qualifications

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

• Minimum of 5 years experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, and phase inspection experience as an A&P Mechanic
• Use of arithmetic, blueprints, and specifications plus knowledge of jet and piston airframe and engine principals
• Must be able to obtain an Airport Security Badge through the local airport authority (if applicable)
• Preferred - Minimum 2-3 years experience on Cessna, Hawker, or Beechcraft aircraft

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Use of arithmetic, blueprints, and specifications plus knowledge of jet a piston airframe and engine principals
• Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license and abide by Textron Fleet Vehicle handbook and AOA access requirements.
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems.
• Must be able to obtain an Airport Security Badge through the local airport authority (if applicable)
