Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS : Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time.

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

As a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer , you'll be a member of or lead a cross functional team supporting the for the Torpedo program.

  • Proficient using electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed Signal circuit analysis / design.
  • Habitually ahead of technology trends, with background in test, troubleshooting, and reading circuit card schematics.

  • Research & Development experience including concept, design, modeling, prototyping, and testing.

  • Analyze and design analog and digital electronic circuits including signal conditioning, power, analog-to-digital conversion, and communication.
  • Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware.
  • Develop test criteria and assist in the design of test systems including test software applications.
  • Perform component and architecture trade studies to determine optimal system solutions.
  • Design, analyze, and test underwater acoustic systems.
  • Design and build prototype cable assemblies.
  • Perform solder rework of prototype circuit card assemblies.
  • Develop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer.
  • Generate design and interface documentation Experience with the engineering development life cycle, including concept, requirements, design, implementation and test phases

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Working knowledge of common communication interfaces such as Ethernet, RS-485, USB, CAN bus, LVDS, and protocols such as TCP and UDP
  • Experience in analog and digital circuit design including signal integrity principles.
  • Proficiency in all phases of PCB design, including : creation of high-level functional and architectural diagrams, SPICE analysis, power analysis, component selection, schematic entry (OrCAD Capture experience a plus), and working with the PCB layout team to optimize placement, signal integrity, fitment, etc.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Experience with MATLAB programming a plus.

Target salary range : USD $107,520.00 / Yr. - USD $119,280.00 / Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.
