JOB SUMMARY
This position is crucial for identifying and analyzing new business opportunities, assessing the profitability of our current customers, and contributing to strategic planning and feasibility studies for new business initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Gather and validate essential data from prospective customers.
Provide insights and data support to various departments including Distribution Services, Purchasing, Procurement, Operations, and Finance for evaluating the impact of new business opportunities.
Ensure the accuracy of departmental insights and make necessary adjustments.
Develop proforma analyses for new business ventures.
Assist in preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Engage in meetings with potential clients to gather data and present proposals effectively.
Analyze and evaluate the profitability of current customers, recommending new fees upon contract expiration.
Explore 'what if' scenarios aimed at improving the company's profitability.
Continuously enhance the proforma process for better accuracy and efficiency.
Contribute to the company’s strategic planning activities.
Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
A 4-year degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Experience :
At least 3 years of experience in food sales within the distribution or manufacturing industry.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to communicate effectively through phone and in-person interactions with customers and other company personnel.
MENTAL / VISUAL DEMANDS
Must have the ability to read at close distances, and driving duties require good distance vision.
TRAVEL
Occasional automobile and air travel is required.
EQUIPMENT OPERATED
Automobile and personal computer, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
LICENSE, CERTIFICATES, AND REGISTRATION
A valid driver's license and auto insurance as defined in Company Policy.
