Job Summary
The HSE Analyst is a key support role within the HSE Department, aiding the department in enhancing workplace safety practices and compliance for the organization, and overall team efficiency, while also undertaking essential administrative responsibilities to support the department.
This position offers foundational experiences for career progression within health and safety, potentially leading to advanced roles such as HSE Manager or specialized safety positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management and Analysis :
- Collect, analyze, and report on safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Administer and ensure the integrity of safety management systems.
- Report and Presentation Preparation :
- Develop detailed reports and presentations on safety metrics, incident analysis, and compliance for internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation.
- Regulatory Compliance :
- Keep abreast of new regulations and ensure compliance with current laws and standards.
- Safety System Administration :
- Manage the safety software systems, including user setup, configuration, and support.
- Provide training and support to staff on using safety systems effectively.
- Project and Administrative Support :
- Assist in the implementation of safety projects and initiatives.
- Perform administrative tasks to support the HSE team, such as monitoring team expenses for compliance with company policies, arranging travel, and organizing meetings.
- Documentation and Record Keeping :
- Maintain documentation of safety procedures, training logs, and meeting minutes.
- Ensure comprehensive and compliant record keeping.
- Continuous Improvement :
- Engage in initiatives to enhance safety measures based on analytical insights.
- Suggest process improvements to optimize safety outcomes.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Safety Management, or related field, required.
- Minimum of two years of experience.
- Experience in an HSE or related analytical role, preferred.
- Relevant certifications in health and safety, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Demonstrated interest in a health and safety career, shown through coursework or professional involvement.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
