Job Purpose
The CGM Production Senior Production Manager is a hands-on position managing field production managers, field supervisors, and crew members performing commercial landscape maintenance services.
The Sr. Production Manager will perform planning, administrative and regulatory functions as directed by the Vice President of Operations, Regional Director, Branch Manager and Associate Branch Manager.
The Sr. Production Manager will promote teamwork throughout the company, enforce all company policy and procedures. The focus of this role is to manage safety, quality, and job hours as it pertains to the contracted scope.
Required Skills
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Production
Participate in pre-job reviews with production managers, field supervisors, estimators, and sales staff.
Provide hour and material budgets for all crews as a guide for production.
Monitor and track job cost, hours, and materials.
Notify Estimator, Salesperson, and Vice President of Operations of any foreseeable project overruns.
Participate in post-job reviews to analyze job performance.
Ensure crews are equipped and informed to provide the safest, highest quality work in a productive and
efficient manner.
Support crews in all aspects of landscape maintenance, such as supervising and training.
Perform and / or participate in crew and department general and safety meetings.
Maintain schedule, monitor workloads, and review regularly with Branch Manager.
Review BOSS LM timesheets and other paperwork as required by the company.
Safe driving of company-owned vehicles, equipment, and transporting of crew members
Review equipment needs / maintenance schedules with field supervisor and Mechanic.
Monitor jobs in progress to assure quality, as well as safety procedures and company policies
are being followed.
Safely operates and trains others on all equipment required to perform contracted work.
Ability to properly read and execute a landscape plan and follow specifications
Facilities lock up.
Customer Service
Support Field Supervisor and Project Managers as main field contact person for clients.
Maintain excellent on-site relations and communications with clients, contractors and / or sub-contractors.
Communicate daily with Account Management staff on jobsite progress and issues
Assist in identifying enhancement opportunities on jobsites
Personnel
Work closely with HR Manager, Vice President of Operations and Regional Director to promote and enforce all Company Policies and Procedures
Interviewing, hiring, orienting, and training of new hires.
Document absences, tardiness and other disciplinary actions.
Conduct Performance Reviews on Production Managers, Crew Leaders, and Crew Members
Enforce company policies.
Administrative
Ensure correct billing information is coming in from the field.
Help administer and execute change orders for additional scope outside of contract including
Subcontractor scope.
Ability to read and understand contract documentation, bill of materials, and estimates.
Review job budgets with all crews as a guide for production.
Monitor work order tracking.
Monitor equipment inventory and tracking of equipment.
Train Field Supervisors on all aspects of administrative paperwork
Keep informed of new practices in green industry.
Keep informed of new or potential sales.
Maintain appropriate communication channels for the situation.
Follow proper procedure to turn jobs over to maintenance personnel.
Pay / Benefits Package
$55,000 - $70,000 annual salary

Required Experience
Requirements
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in Commercial Grounds Management.
Must have a minimum of 1-3 years production management experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns, and other environmental risks
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Must wear sturdy shoes, company uniforms, and assigned PPE
Must present yourself in a professional, polite manner
Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment
Must wear company-provided eye and ear protection as required
Must have valid NC Driver's license and maintain a good driving record (CDL preferred)
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Must be willing to obtain NC Pesticide applicators license
Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others
Must comply with Bland's policies and procedures
