Job Description : The Staff Accountant will support the Finance & Accounting team by performing essential accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial records, and helping guide the team through ongoing growth and acquisitions. This role will oversee daily bookkeeping functionsincluding both receivables and payablesassist with monthly and annual close processes, and contribute to budgeting and financial reporting. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in strengthening controls, keeping bookkeeping staff on track, and supporting the department's upward expansion. Over time, this role has the potential to specialize in accounts payable or accounts receivable and build a dedicated team around that function.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in accordance with GAAP.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, resolving discrepancies quickly.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, meeting all deadlines.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Participate in audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable accounting standards.
• Contribute to special projects related to acquisitions and departmental growth.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $70000.00 / yr. Our client offers 100% employer paid premium cost for medical / dental / vision for the employee only. They also offer Friday's off in the summer, contribution to an HSA, unlimited PTO, 4% 401k match and much more!
