RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage own workload, organizing and prioritizing tasks effectively and meeting deadlines consistently.
Effectively execute timely media monitoring and reporting daily.
Pitch news to media
Help manage media relations and logistics for b2b and b2c clients.
Build and maintain media lists and database.
Mine for story opportunities in a timely way.
Conduct research on clients, trends, competitors and compile in a clear, concise manner.
Develop new content for internal and external publication.
Assist in development of PR campaign project plans and written materials including press releases, media statements and talking points
Write and edit content and press releases with accuracy and speed
EDUCATION
Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field of work. B.A. in Communications or related field
REQUIRED SKILLS
1-2 years of agency public relations experience or internship preferred
Experience in project management and execution of PR campaigns, including development of project briefs or utilization of project management tools.
Working knowledge of MS Office : Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Excellent attention to detail, strong proofreading skills and ability to multitask and execute through to completion.
Self-motivated and self-directed working style.
Demonstrated success in securing media coverage (local, trade and / or national) and passion for media relations.
Relevant knowledge of local media, national news, and industry trends.
Experience with and understanding of PR and marketing concepts and practices.
Willingness to follow industry trends and an interest in learning / engaging with developing trends and methods.
Outstanding communication and writing skills and knowledge of AP style.
Working knowledge of social media
Consistently meets deadlines.
Can build client-facing and internal presentations with little oversight / editing.
Can effectively present small portions of presentations to clients and proactively develops their personal style and presence.
Candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating calm under pressure.

- Pay Range : $41,600 - 48,500 (Commensurate with experience)
