Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Data Privacy team develops the services needed to empower our members with control of their data, and to ensure the enterprise treats customer data according to consumer data regulations.

Our work supports millions of members through both Sam's Club eCommerce and In-Club experiences. Our services interact with products across the enterprise and enable downstream clients to appropriately treat member data based on data collection, use, sale, and deletion preferences.

As a Software III at Sam's Tech in Walmart, you will be responsible for developing and implementing complex software solutions to drive innovation and enhance our consumer data privacy capabilities.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, utilize your technical skills to solve challenging issues, and contribute to the evolution of our technology infrastructure.

Sam's Club is our membership warehouse club, a business model that provides our members with high-quality products at prices that are unrivaled by traditional retail.

Sam's Club provides a carefully curated assortment of items, as well as developing and leading technologies and services such as Scan & Go, Club Pickup, and home delivery service in select markets.

What you'll do :

• Design, develop, and implement complex back-end software applications, systems, and services to meet business needs and improve system performance.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, peer teams at Sam's Tech, and other team members to establish objectives, design functional specifications, and ensure the seamless integration of new projects.
• Conduct thorough debugging and code review to ensure code quality, functionality, and optimization.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

What you'll bring :

• Proficiency in developing Java / Spring Boot based micro services.
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL / Cosmos and SQL databases.
• Solid understanding and experience with event-driven systems.
• Experience in automated unit, functional, and integration testing.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and Kubernetes in Azure cloud a plus.
• 2 to 3 years of experience post grad

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1 : Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Option 2 : 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
