Are you an experienced Quality Control professional with a passion for excellence in the ASME manufacturing sector? We are seeking a dedicated Manager, Quality Control to lead our team and ensure our quality programs and systems meet or exceed customer and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Systems Analysis : Analyze quality systems to mitigate risks and ensure compliance within market economic constraints.
- Quality Assessments : Interpret third-party quality assessments of fabrication, installation, and operational quality issues.
- Team Leadership : Lead the Quality Control department by setting clear goals, coaching staff, and ensuring effective communication.
- Source Inspection Oversight : Oversee the Source Inspection process to minimize costs due to fabrication errors and promote resolution of quality issues with suppliers.
- Quality Plan Execution : Supervise the execution of the Quality Plan and ensure required certifications are renewed annually.
- Develop Quality Requirements : Develop new quality requirements to meet company goals and foster customer relationships at both project and management levels.
- Collaboration : Collaborate with department heads to create a high-performance team and engage with industry organizations to influence quality standards.
- Travel : Travel 10-15% by car or plane to various locations as required.
Requirements
- Four-year degree in engineering or a technical field with relevant work experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in quality assurance, ASME Section I or VIII, heavy industry, manufacturing, construction, welding, and non-destructive testing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading and managing direct reports.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and data interpretation skills.
- Proficiency in English and ability to make quick decisions.

Requirements
Deep understanding of ASME Section I or VIII standards. Proficiency in analyzing and enhancing quality systems to mitigate risks.
Proven ability in leading and managing teams, setting clear goals, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Capability to oversee the execution of Quality Plans and ensure compliance with operational standards.
Experience in managing the Source Inspection process and building relationships with customers and internal teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems.
