  • Assist in managing engineering budgets and project timelines
  • Provide technical support to sales teams, including product applications and competitive positioning
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction
  • Support training efforts for internal teams, contractors, and external partners

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Mentor and develop engineers and drafters, strengthening both design and documentation capabilities
  • Review and approve engineering drawings and CAD models, ensuring quality and consistency
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and performance support to team members
  • Assist in recruiting and onboarding engineering and drafting talent
  • Promote a collaborative, accountable, and solutions-oriented team culture

Qualifications

  • Hands-on proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of drafting standards, GD&T, tolerancing, and design for manufacturability (DFM)
  • Experience managing or reviewing engineering drawings, models, and revision control systems
  • Exposure to HVAC, mechanical systems, or similar industrial products preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, analytical approach
  • Effective communication and ability to collaborate across departments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Attributes

    • Experience implementing or improving CAD standards and engineering documentation systems
    • Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems for managing engineering data
    • Aspiration to grow into senior leadership roles
