Ovintiv is seeking an Air Quality Compliance Specialist. This position reports to the Manager of the Air Quality team for either our Texas or Oklahoma and Utah assets.
The position will focus on air compliance activities, creating and improving processes, and providing subject matter expertise to operations and engineering teams.
Candidates must have expertise in interpreting, providing training and working with Operations on existing and proposed state and federal regulations.

Location is in Denver, Colorado or The Woodlands, Texas.
Responsibilities :
Coordinate with EH&S Data and Analytics, and Operations teams to develop compliance programs and processes that prepare company for existing and upcoming state and federal regulations, and prevent future enforcement action.
Help implement and maintain programs to comply with Greenhouse Gas reporting, New Source Performance Standards and Existing Source Guideline requirements.
Contribute to efforts and EH&S responsibilities of the Ovintiv GHG Reduction Plan which include U.S. emissions forecasting, internal communication of new regulatory requirements and impacts to data.
Develop environmental database data quality improvements for emission inventory management, regulatory reporting, agency information requests and compliance tracking.
Assist with analyzing, interpreting and communicating U.S. state, federal and Greenhouse Gas air rulemaking impacts to internal stakeholders.
Provide training on upcoming Methane and GHG regulations.
Assist with air permit, compliance and reporting activities to comply with federal, state, local and / or tribal requirements.
Facilitate and lead air compliance programs such as engine stack testing, flare performance, gas and liquids sampling, and LDAR camera surveys.
Assist with the development of air emission calculations through utilizing source emission calculations using EPA or industry standard procedures and emissions modeling software.
Qualifications :
Five or more years of experience with an emphasis on air quality.
4-year degree in environmental science, engineering or related field is required.
Working experience implementing air compliance programs through the development of environment database management systems (ACTS preferred).
Demonstrated knowledge of federal existing and proposed regulations such as Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program Subpart W, NSPS OOOO / a / b, State Emissions Guidelines (OOOOc), and Methane Emissions Reduction Program.
Knowledge of the various Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting frameworks a plus.
Strong knowledge of state permitting requirements a plus.
Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills with proven strong written and verbal communication, and organizational skills.
Team player who is open to coaching others and being coached, and follows through on commitments.
Must be able to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict and sometimes simultaneous deadlines.
Up to 20% travel is required and anticipated.
Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Ovintiv's reasonable estimate of the hiring compensation range for this role.
HIRING SALARY RANGE : $105,000 - $165,000 USD
Compensation may vary and will be determined by the geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
