Core responsibilities

• Document security incidents, assess the damage they cause, construct an incident timeline with detailed evidence, determine the root cause behind the incident, and provide remediation guidance.
• Perform proactive threat hunting initiatives to detect risk and anomalies in the environment. Review alerts from behavior-based detections.
• Stay current on threat intelligence trends and news to share information on new vulnerabilities and campaigns via security bulletins.
• Maintain detection rule libraries and create requirements for Security Orchestration Automation and Response procedures and playbooks.
• Provide escalation support to the Security Operations Center and mentorship to lower-level analyst groups.

• GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
