The Site Supervisor (Superintendent / Foreman) is responsible for overseeing and effectively managing on-site activities of th e project(s) assigned .

The successful candidate must possess the knowledge, experience , and confidence to engage professionally with design engineers , consultants , and c ustomers while successfully directing the sub-contractors and other construction-related personnel in planning, coordinating and safely executing work in accordance with the contract documents, schedule and budget.

This rol e requires travel to job sites throughout primarily , but not limited to, Indiana and less often Norther n Illinois.

What y ou'll do :

  • Coordinate all o n-site construction activities , ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
  • Participate in site assessments and preparation activities, including surveying, measuring, and layout .
  • Read and interpret installation plans and construction documents.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, contractors, vendors, and team members to provide updates on project status and address any issues or concerns.
  • Cultivate high standards of organization, safety, and regulatory compliance at all project sites.
  • Manage schedule for equipment, materials, and subcontractors to effectively utilize all resources and to maximize production and minimize costs .
  • Assist Project Manager with project scope , schedul e , and budget, while providing timely updates on pr oject progress.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to identify and resolve any issues or deficiencies, and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of work completed, materials used, and hours worked.
  • Oversee all aspects of the solar installation process, from site mobilization, staging, and equipment setup to equipment installation, electrical wiring, testing & commissioning, and demobilization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required skills, knowledge, and experience :

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED; mechanical, electrical, or related technical degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing jobsites utilizing mul tiple trades in commercial construction.
  • 2+ years of previous c ommercial solar and storage installation experience on roof / ground-mounted systems preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
  • Familiarity with both AC and DC systems, including inverters, switchgear, transformers, batteries, power meters, computer monitoring systems, associated sensors, PV modules, and PV arrays preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety guidelines and best practices.
  • Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).

Physical Demands :

Ability to work in a variety of circumstances, including but not limited to standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment;

working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in outside / inside / heat / cold / day / night conditions.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May be required to satisfy requirements imposed by specific projects, customers, or company needs including to be vaccinated for the flu and / or Covid-19, and subject to all applicable laws.
  • Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet.
  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.
