Description :

We are seeking a skilled CVOR RN to join our surgical team in Louisville, KY. This contract position offers a dynamic work environment with a focus on cardiovascular operating room procedures.

Shift :

• 06 : 30-17 : 00
• On-call duties every 4th weekend from Friday 5 PM to Monday 06 : 30 AM, and one night per week.

Selling Points for the Unit :

• Team of 4 excellent CV surgeons
• 3 dedicated cardiovascular ORs

Patient Ratio : 1 : 1

Skills and Qualifications :

• Experience with IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
• Proficient in cardioversion / defibrillation
• Skilled in procedural sedation
• Familiarity with Impella and LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device)
• Experience with ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
• Basic telemetry reading skills (must know how to read tele strips)

• Laser Lead Extractions
• CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
• Convergent Procedures
• LVAD Placement
• ECMO Procedures

• Valve Repair / Replacement

Common Equipment Used :

• ESU (Electrosurgical Unit)
• Suction / Dornaek
• Laser
• Monitors

Medication Administration :

• Conscious sedation medications (e.g., Versed, Fentanyl)
• No medication titration required

Charting : EPIC Charting System

Scrub Color : Hospital-owned scrubs provided
