Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Richardson, Texas. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in managing invoice processing, journal entries, and account coding within an organized and fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy and efficiency and is ready to contribute to a growing company in the real estate and property industry.

Responsibilities

Process incoming batches of tickets from multiple branches, ensuring accuracy and timely handling.

Enter invoices into the system, whether individual or grouped, to maintain smooth operations.

Create and manage journal batches, preparing them for approval and further processing.

Collaborate with the Accounts Payable Manager on fully approved batches for final transactions.

Conduct check runs and handle automated clearing house (ACH) payments efficiently.

Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.

Monitor and achieve daily ticket processing goals to maintain workflow.

Ensure all account coding and invoice data is accurately entered into the system.

Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures in all accounts payable operations. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, including invoice processing and account coding.

Proficiency in handling automated clearing house (ACH) payments and check runs.

Strong knowledge of journal entries and accruals.

Ability to manage high volumes of ticket processing with accuracy and efficiency.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Familiarity with accounting systems and software.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.

Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and managers.
