Job Summary :

An established and growing industrial services company in Houston, TX is seeking a full-time Controller to lead accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a CPA, strong leadership skills, and deep experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and percentage-of-completion accounting (POC).

WResponsibilities :

• Manage and lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Oversee percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting and job costing
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Partner with project managers to analyze WIP schedules and job profitability
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control policies
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Continuously improve accounting processes and reporting tools
