The Atlantic Region CBO is seeking a dynamic and talented Senior Collection Specialist.

The Senior Collection Specialists performs many of the same duties as a Collection Specialist but functions as an experienced collector who works high dollar accounts, assists in high dollar review projects, works to identify trends / issues with payers, assists in pulling AR reports, and serves as an additional resource to the collections department.

Key Responsibilities include :

  • Work and monitor high dollar outstanding claims or special collection work list
  • Provides assistance to collection manager and team lead by reviewing and / or creating daily, weekly and monthly reports as assigned
  • Participates in the training of new hires and ongoing in services as appropriate concerning areas of responsibility and payer specific updates
  • Assist department manager and team leads with developing group departmental goals and objectives
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years collections experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Customer focused both internally and externally, strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, strong key data entry, and excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Familiarity insurance collections and 3-5 years healthcare business office experience preferred.
