The Role

We are looking for a leader who wants to develop the early careers of those looking to grow as business consultants in the Life Sciences industry! If you have a passion for nurturing young professionals in a pivotal industry, this role could be an ideal fit for you!

Veeva's Business Consulting Group boosts the adoption of our outstanding software products by addressing the Life Sciences Industrys key business challenges.

Sitting within the Global Business Consulting Group, the Business Consultant Development Program (BCDP) is one of the early career development programs within Generation Veeva .

Our vision is to develop the future business consultants and leaders at Veeva. BCDP, a 2-year immersion and curriculum-based development program, is designed to expedite the long-term growth of early career university talent within the Business Consulting Group.

The BCDP Team Manager will be responsible for the recruitment, development, and retainment of early career talent into Veeva Business Consulting.

This is a unique opportunity to partner with Generation Veeva and Veeva Business Consulting to optimize the BCDP model while having people management responsibilities for a team of Associate Business Consultants.

They are also expected to understand Veevas culture and operating model to be first-line support for Associates and set a strong example through Veevas Values.

Veeva is a Work Anywhere company, which means that you can choose to work in the environment that works best for you home or in office.

While this role is Work Anywhere, the BCDP Manager will be required to live within commuting distance from the New York City or Boston office.

The expectation for commutable distance is living less than 1 hour from the office. There is not an in-office requirement, but we expect regular in-person connection and collaboration with the team in the office.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a team of 15+ Associate Business Consultants who deliver excellent business consulting solutions to customers through consulting projects
  • Own performance management of your team to ensure success on projects, core consulting skills development, and integration into future BC practices upon graduation
  • Execute the onboarding of new Associate Business Consultants and consulting skills curriculum to teach core skills and supplement on-the-job learning
  • Build strong relationships with broader Veeva Business Consulting and Generation Veeva to foster cross-functional collaboration
  • Implement effective mentoring and career pathing for Associate Business Consultants
  • Own the BCDP operating model - develop and enhance the design for the program by partnering with Generation Veeva and Business Consulting leadership
  • Attract, recruit, hire, and onboard university talent into Veeva Business Consultant in partnership with the BCDP Practice Manager aligned to Veeva hiring process
  • Evolve BCDP in the local geography and / or practices through a strong team culture and dynamic

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in consulting and managing large complex projects preferably in a role in the Life Sciences industry
  • 3+ experience leading early-career learning & development programs
  • Prior experience leading teams with direct people management responsibilities and proven success evaluating and developing talent
  • Prior experience developing curriculum and executing training with the ability to iterate and improve based on business needs and development expectations
  • Prior experience interviewing business consultants
  • Strong collaboration skills and an innovative mindset that embraces delivering with excellence
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to manage complex projects
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both early-career contributors and senior leadership
  • Desire to work in an intense, dynamic environment with a startup mindset
  • Willingness to commute to your office and collaborate with your direct team and build relationships with broader Business Consulting teams
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for key internal meetings and team trainings
  • Bachelors degree is required

Compensation

  • Base pay : $95,000 - $165,000
  • The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role.

Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions.

This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and / or stock bonus.
