The Role
Reporting to our VP, Brand Partnerships, the Director of Account Management will serve as both a hands-on contributor and a developing leader — a true player-coach. You'll ensure our customers are successful, our internal teams are supported, and our revenue organization scales with discipline and creativity.
This role is central to our Sales and Integrated Media Planning teams, acting as the hub of client communication, campaign management, and team guidance. You'll model excellence in execution while mentoring and elevating the Account Management function. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of media and campaign lifecycles, thrives in a fast-growth environment, and knows how to balance rolling up their sleeves while coaching others to step up.
Responsibilities Include :
- Partner with Sales to support both pre- and post-sales functions, modeling best practices and guiding the team
- Serve as day-to-day POC for advertiser / ad agency relationships on post-sale campaign management, including media buys and branded content
- Ensure campaigns launch on time, within scope and budget, while actively coaching junior team members on process and problem-solving
- Translate client KPIs and goals into clear plans, and lead team discussions on strategy and performance
- Lead and attend client meetings, modeling senior-level presence while developing others to take the lead
- Coordinate client kickoff calls, draft client-facing documentation, and mentor the team on client communication skills
- Liaise with editorial / production teams to balance client needs
- Analyze campaign performance and industry trends, sharing insights and coaching the team on how to upsell, cross-sell, and renew
- Collect, analyze, and distribute client campaign reports; develop frameworks to make reporting more efficient and deliver wrap reports post campaign
- Come to the table with ideas for process improvements and best practices that help the entire revenue org scale
- Act as a first escalation point, modeling calm, solution-oriented leadership under pressure
